PRIVACY NOTICE
Your journey data.
Handled with care.
This notice explains what Outmile collects, why it is needed, who receives it and the choices available to customers.
CONTROLLER
Who is responsible for your information
Thomas Barrett trading as Outmile is the controller of personal information collected through Outmile. Contact office@outmile.co.uk for privacy questions or to exercise a data-protection right.
Correspondence address: Business Central, 2 Union Square, Central Park, Darlington, DL1 1GL.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Only what is needed to quote and provide the journey
- identity and contact details, such as name, home or billing address, email address and telephone number;
- journey details, including pickup and destination, dates, times, stops, flight or train number, passenger and luggage counts;
- service needs and notes voluntarily supplied, including accessibility or child-seat requests;
- booking, allocated driver and vehicle, metered fare, payment status, refund and correspondence records;
- aggregate booking-stage counts and privacy-preserving demand patterns from completed quote searches, such as broad pickup and destination areas, journey type, planned travel period, approximate time band, party size band, route category and the page where the quote started; and
- limited technical and security information produced when the website is used.
The demand report does not retain the exact typed pickup or destination address, names, telephone numbers or email addresses. It is used to understand route demand, not to identify individual visitors. Booking-stage counts record form starts, quote requests and errors, vehicle choices and completed details as daily totals. They do not store form contents, visitor identifiers, cookies or recordings. Checkout and paid-booking totals are calculated from existing booking records.
Stripe handles card and wallet details on its checkout. Outmile receives transaction identifiers, status and amount, but not the full card number or security code.

WEBSITE STORAGE
Cookies and similar technologies
Outmile currently uses only storage needed for website operation, security, owner sign-in and the booking journey. It does not currently use advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies.
